H-O-M-E

Well I'm home. I've been here since Sunday and it hasn't stopped raining since. That’s not true, it's actually not raining right now, but only for a little while it's supposed to pour tonight. Also, it’s really cold I've been comparing the weather to the weather in Orange and it’s always at least 15 degrees cooler here. The weather in California really has spoiled me; my family keeps making fun of me for whining about the cold. My break has been pretty good besides the weather; I've had some really good opportunities to catch up with old friends, which is really nice. I've also made some new friends, but you will have to ask me for those stories in person. Lets just say one of them may or may not be a forty-something chef from India named Guru. Home is fun, but I think I'm ready to get back to Chapman. I don't know if it's the excitement for London or just missing my friends at school but I am definitely ready to head back. Luckily I will be back before New Years so I will have a chance to see at least a few people before I take off for a month. Well I hope all of you guys are having a nice holiday season and that you stay warm if you live somewhere cold like Washington, or somewhere colder (if that’s even possible) ;)

It's over!

And I'm done. I have officially finished my third semester at college. I'm so ready just to go hang out with friends and have a relaxing break. Hopefully I will be able to think again by the time I get back from break. Luckily I don't leave Orange until Sunday so I can just sit around at my house for a couple days and get rid of all that finals stress. I've been trying to get as much work in as I can this week so that I will have some money to get around with in London. It really is going to be nice to just do nothing for a while, well nothing except see all my friends from home. I'm starting to get insanely excited about London we have our final calendar all set and we are going to see some pretty amazing shows. I can't wait to just get there and walk around London. I love being in big cities and I love being abroad so those two things combined can't possibly be bad. Hopefully I can get some Christmas shopping done too. I can tell people I'm waiting to get their gift until I go to London... that’s a pretty good plan I think.

FINALS!!!!!!

AAAAAA! I had 3 finals yesterday! 3!! But now I get to take it easy. I am pretty much scott free until Friday. I had to replace all my sleep with paper writing so I am exhausted, but excited to be more than halfway done with the whole process. One big benefit of taking finals and working on campus, is that everyone who has graduated brings in treats. I didn't get to come in yesterday to try the treats because i was... well you know TAKING THREE FINALS! But I did get to go in today and Melanie, one of my co-workers brought in this delicious chocolate chip bannana bread. I may have eaten four pieces of it. I don't even know what to do with all my time now. All my friends are studying for finals and I am just kicking back. I do need to get ready for undie run though; it's my favorite event of finals week. A group of students organized it a while back and it has been happening every semester since. Everyone meets on Memorial lawn, in thier underwear at 12 and then we run as fast as we can ( because its cold) to the fountain and jump in. It's a really good release during finals week just to take a break from all that work. My friends and I always go to American Apparel before to get really outlandish underpants to wear. I CAN'T WAIT!!

Last Day

Whew, yesterday was the last day of classes and I am glad to be done. I am exhausted, and ready to take this whole weekend to get the last of my work done before finals week. I just found out my itinerary for break and I'm pretty excited. I'm leaving Orange on the 16th and I'm going to be in Washington with my dad until Christmas day then I will fly to Texas to see my mom and be back in Orange by the 31st so I can unpack, and repack my bags for London.

wow

OK, sorry it’s been a while since my last post, this week has been insane! It's what we call "dead week," the week before finals and it has been stressful! I did get some relaxation in though. It was my friend’s birthday on Tuesday and we had a lot of fun. He had rented a gigantic party bus and got about thirty of us together to go into LA to Saddle Ranch. It was a really cool place, they had a mechanical bull and Syrus from the Real World was there. The party bus was insane we had thirty people in it, but it was never cramped. It was really nice just to take a break from all the paper writing and studying for a night out. But now it’s back to the grind. Being a double major (English and Theater) is really starting to take its toll with all of the work I have to do to get ready for finals. Break is just around the corner though and I can't wait to get home and see all my friends and family and then head out to London.

This week/weekend

This week started off really slow. I thought it was going to be the easiest week ever, but I quickly found out I have a lot more on my plate than I thought. I'm trying to just power through it because I have some awesome plans for the weekend. I'm going to this big event for one of the sororities on campus at Knott's Berry Farm. It's going to be a really good time, it’s basically what is getting me through this week. The rest of the weekend however is going to be spent in the library trying to crank out all my homework.I'm also really pumped that the holiday spirit is starting to show up around campus. This is one of my favorite times of year. I'm not from around here so the warmer weather is also nice. I'm used to Washington snow and rain around this time so a little bit of sunshine in November is a welcome change. The holiday season also means winter break, which will be nice after this hectic semester.

Monday Lunch at 1

Well it’s been a Monday tradition for almost an entire semester now, and its drawing to a close. Monday Lunch at 1 started with three people eating without a table and has exploded into a cafeteria phenomenon. We had 15 people today! Five times what we started with. It’s cool to see a group of people with such diverse majors, ages and backgrounds come together and eat lunch once a week. Today was cool because we all talked about our breaks and it was apparent how excited everyone was to be back, although we all obviously miss home. I'm not going to lie; I'm pretty pumped about this whole blog thing. I'm way into it. But I'm going to try and keep it short, so I can finish my homework before class, but if you find yourself with nothing to do on Mondays at one stop on by the cafeteria and join our little group.

It's my first time

Disclamer: This is my first blog so be gentle
Ugh, back from thanksgiving break already. I'm glad to be back at school, because my beak was boring, but I am a little worried about the semester winding down AND FINALS! I'm excited for interterm though. I'm taking a 20 day class in the UK all about theatre appreciation. OK, thats all I have time for now, I gotta get back to work. Thanks for reading ; )
